We are delighted to have Venerable Tenzin Namjong give a talk on
Radical Acceptance: Buddhist Advice for Difficult Times
There is a Tibetan saying, “Everyone is a great Dharma practitioner when the sun is shining and their belly is full.” It is, however, when we face obstacles–illness, injury, loss of loved ones, financial difficulties and other traumatic events–that we need powerful methods to maintain our sense of purpose, peace and balance. Drawing from the “Mind Training (Lojong)” teachings, as well as personal experience, and modern psychology, Ven. Tenzin Namjong will go through a framework to deal with obstacles in a constructive way, not only so that we can avoid depression, but so that we can use those very difficult circumstances to advance along the path to awakening.
